Recovery Innovations is seeking a Food Service Associate to prepare and serve meals under the supervision of the Food Service Manager at the Durham Crisis Care Center in NC. The role requires a Food Handler’s Certification, a high school diploma, and at least six months of food service experience.

A rotating shift runs 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The position emphasizes food safety, accurate dating and disposal of meals, and maintaining clean kitchen areas while supporting overall guest care and

Salary/Hourly Wage: $16.00/hour

Summary of Job

The Food Service Associate is responsible for preparing and serving food under the direction of the Food Service Manager.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Guest Care & Advocacy:
• Prepares and serves food in accordance with food safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen by using proper food handling techniques.
• Ensures all food is dated and disposed of after sell date.
• Monitors refrigerator temperature and documents on daily temperature log.
• Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
• Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
• Additional Duties:
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Education/Licenses:

• Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
• Driving Requirements:
• If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy.
• If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.
• Miscellaneous Requirement(s):
• Travel required based on business need.
• Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement.

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

Physical Demands

May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing/balancing on a step stool to reach supplies/equipment, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.

Work Environment

May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility where some hazardous conditions may exist.
