Job summary

TXB Market and Food Stores Inc in Buchanan Dam, TX is hiring a Food Service Associate to support the store management team with food preparation, customer service, and everyday store tasks. You will help ensure a clean, welcoming guest experience and follow safety guidelines.

No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. You may lift up to 50 pounds, work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and enjoy benefits like uniforms, shift pay, and health and other insurance

Job Summary

The food service associate works in support of the store management team to facilitate the completion of all store level tasks and performs a variety of tasks related to different areas of the store including food preparation, possible cash register tasks, customer service, general housekeeping and other related functions. The food service associate ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our purpose to "Leave 'em Better".

Essential Functions

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

• Assists with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks.
• Operates grill, broiler, or deep-fat fryer to prepare specific fast foods.
• Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes work stations.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to appropriate location in the kitchen area.
• Refills condiments or other supplies.
• Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Ensure the proper execution of all assigned store level marketing programs.
• Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times.
• Check in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resource.
