The Food Service Assistant at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, provides high quality food for patients, staff and visitors. You will assist with preparation, delivery and basic sanitation while maintaining a welcoming, patient-focused service attitude.

This is a flex, PRN position with hours 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Mon/Wed/Fri, and potential to grow based on staffing needs. Required is a high school diploma or equivalent preferred; no prior experience is necessary.

Job Description

The Food Service Assistant works behind the scenes to provide high quality food for the patients, staff, and other customers. In the hospital setting Nutrition is crucial to the healing process, the Food Service Assistant serves a vital role in helping patients with this healing process. Performing preparation and delivery of food with a high standard of quality and sanitation. Additional duties will include customer service, serving, cleaning and sanitation. A high level of customer service to internal and external customers, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude is required. This is a flex position. The hours are PRN (as needed).
