Job summary

Good Samaritan Hays is seeking a Food Service Assistant to help with food preparation, service, and sanitation at our 45-bed skilled nursing facility in Hays, KS. You will monitor food temperatures, set up serving areas, operate a computerized register, and support HACCP guidelines while delivering friendly customer service.

Starting pay ranges from $14.50 to $22.50 per hour with night and weekend differentials, flexible PRN shifts, and access to education and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age and prior customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and follow directions with basic math ability.
• On-job training provided; Serv Safe may be required depending on location; BLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper food temperatures and maintain a clean serving area.
• Prepare, serve, restock food items, and operate food-service equipment.
• Receive payments using a computerized register and provide customer service.
