Career Systems Development Corporation in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a dedicated food service assistant to support meal preparation, serving, and cleanup for a youth program.

The schedule is Monday–Friday 11:00am–7:30pm with rotating weekends. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may benefit from up to three months of food service experience; CPR/First Aid certificates must be obtained and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food and sack lunches, does necessary prep work.

• Cleans and maintains dining room and kitchen facilities.
• Operates dish-washing equipment.
• Cleans and checks service equipment.
• Fills salt, pepper and napkin dispensers after each meal.
• Assists in moving and storing supplies.
• Works within established safety guidelines.

Requirements

Minimum

High School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred

Three months experience in a food service area preferred.

Knowledge

• Individual should have well-defined habits of personal cleanliness and hygiene.
• Must meet State or local food handling requirements, whichever are more restrictive.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certificates.
