Job summary

Compass Group USA's UH Athletics Dining Team is seeking a full-time Food Server at University of Houston Athletics. The role offers a Monday–Saturday schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a pay range of $14.00–$15.00 per hour.

Requirements include about 1 year of experience in casual or fine dining, athletics or catering. Perks include same-day pay, great benefits, paid time off, sick pay and holiday pay, supporting a fast-paced university dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food according to standards.

• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans and trays to and from work stations safely.
• Stores food with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment.
• Ensures proper serving temperatures and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.

Location: University of Houston Athletics

• We are hiring immediately for a full-time FOOD SERVER position.
• Address: University of Houston Athletics - 3204 Cullen Blvd, Houston, TX 77204. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Monday - Saturday, shifts are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Requirement: 1 year in casual or fine dining restaurants, Athletics or Catering experience preferred.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
