Scientific Search is seeking a hands-on Food Scientist to transform consumer insights into great-tasting, scalable nutrition products at El Segundo, CA. You will drive formulation work from concept to shelf, collaborating across teams to influence quality, nutrition, cost, and manufacturability.

The role emphasizes strong formulation skills, commercialization experience, and ability to navigate production trials and data analysis to deliver successful products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of food formulation and ingredient functionality.
• Experience with commercialization and manufacturing trials is preferred.
• Skilled in preparing specifications and technical documentation.
• Genesis or comparable PLM formulation systems knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and renovate nutritional bars and shelf-stable products.
• Lead formulations from benchtop through pilot and commercialization.
• Execute production trials, scale-up and post-launch optimization.
• Partner with co-manufacturers to troubleshoot processing challenges.
• Analyze sensory, shelf-life and manufacturing data.
