ChemStation in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Food Safety Specialist to develop and monitor sanitation and quality programs for food processing customers. You will ensure compliance with GFSI, HACCP, GMPs, and safe chemical use while training on site and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record of knowledge in the Food Processing arena (QA or otherwise).
• Knowledge of HACCP, safe Chemical Use, GMPs and GFSI Scheme.
• Above average problem solving skills.

• Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations in a customer-focused environment.
• The ability to work second/third shift and weekends if the customer requests.

Responsibilities

• Assist/train on site in Sanitation, SSOPs, Chemical Safety and GHS standards.
• Conduct pre-audit walk-throughs to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation practices.
• Validate sanitation programs and SSOPs.
• Establish SSOPs and MCS for current and new customers.
• Titrate and calibrate sanitation equipment as needed.
• Maintain service reports for all activities conducted on customer sites.
• Participate as an essential member of food safety teams.
• Proactively build long-lasting customer relationships.

Food Safety Specialist (Salary Plus Bonus)

We are currently seeking a Food Safety Specialist based out of our Elmhurst, IL location to provide consultative services to Food Processing/Industrial Manufacturing facilities.

As a ChemStation Food Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring the quality processes in regards to Sanitation of small to large Food Processing customers. You will ensure compliance with GFSI, local, state and federal food safety guidelines, standards and regulations for each customer’s specific needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting/Training on the customer site on Sanitation, SSOP’s, Chemical Safety and GHS standards
• Conduct Pre-Audit walk thru at customers sites to ensure compliance of food safety and Sanitation Practices as established by GFSI.
• Ability to validate the Sanitation Programs and SSOPs
• Establish SSOPs and MCS as needed for current and new customers.
• Ability to Titrate and Calibrate Sanitation Equipment.
• Maintain Service Reports for all Activities conducted on Customer Site
• Participate as an essential member of Food Safety teams as requested.
• Proactively build a relationship with the customer with intention of building long-lasting business relationships
