Job summary

ResourceMFG is seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Systems Manager to lead our food safety program in a manufacturing setting. You will oversee SQF, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and PRP initiatives, drive audits, and promote a strong safety culture across the facility.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in food safety/QA, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, SQF, HACCP, or related role.
• Experience conducting and coordinating internal audits.
• Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, PCQI, SSOPs, sanitation programs, and food safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the facility’s Quality Management System.
• Serve as the SQF Substitute Practitioner and support SQF certification activities.
• Implement, maintain, and improve SQF, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and PRPs.
• Develop, maintain, and verify the Food Safety Plan and Master Sanitation Program.
• Coordinate and lead internal audits while supporting customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
• Manage pest control and chemical control programs.
• Conduct food safety, quality, sanitation, and GMP training programs.
• Communicate food safety and quality expectations to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Supervise sanitation and housekeeping personnel.
• Monitor compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
• Support troubleshooting, packaging, weight control, process improvements, and incident investigations.
• Provide Quality Assurance support across multiple business units.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and audit readiness.
