Job summary

Producers Rice Mill in Arkansas seeks a dedicated professional to oversee the implementation, improvement, and promotion of food safety and quality systems to meet regulatory, customer, and certification standards.

You will manage the CAPA program, investigate non-conformances, and drive corrective actions while communicating with customers and ensuring documentation and lab processes align with FSMA, GMPs, and PCQI/HACCP standards.

Qualifications

  • Three years of Food Safety, Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, FSMA and GMPs.
  • Current or previous certifications as PCQI, HACCP Coordinator, and/or GFSI Practitioner.
  • Must possess strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, goal-focused professional who sets targets and tracks progress.
  • Must be able to interpret highly technical requirements and documents.
  • Must possess working knowledge of lab methodologies.
  • Must be willing to stand/walk for extended periods and wear PPE.
  • Other duties as requested by management.

Responsibilities

Job description

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., overtime as necessary or required.

Job Description: This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation, improvement, and promotion of food safety and food quality systems to maintain compliance with regulations as well as Company, customer and certification standards. Assist in assuring employees follow all food safety, legal, quality and process control policies and regulations. Actively manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program, ensuring the robust investigation of non-conformance, and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive measures. Communicate with customers to provide information, feedback, and/or resolution to customer inquiries and complaints. Analyze and document circumstances regarding non-compliant products.

Basic Qualifications
  • Three years of Food Safety, Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience within a food or beverage manufacturingenvironment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must have knowledge of industry standards, FSMA and GMP's.
  • Current or previous certifications as PCQI, HACCP Coordinator, and/or GFSI Practitioner.
  • Must possess strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Mustbe self- driven, goal -focused professional who sets a specific target, plans for progress, and continuously monitors performance to achieve long-term goals.
  • Must be ableto interpret highly technical requirements and documents.
  • Must possess working knowledge of lab methodologies.
  • Must be an independent thinker, keen analytical with above average math and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to twist, turn, bend and kneel as needed to complete job duties.
  • Must be willing and able to climb to various levels in the facility using stairs, ladders, and elevated platforms.
  • Must have close visual work on computers, able to determine detail and distinguish colors.
  • Must be willing and able to wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Other duties as requested by management.

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline or commensurate education/experience.
