Job summary

CookUnity, a nationwide platform connecting world-class chefs to homes, is hiring a Quality Assurance Associate to ensure meals meet HACCP and FDA standards.

You will monitor food standards, enforce safety and hygiene, verify proper labeling in walk-in coolers, and keep refrigerators and freezers at appropriate temperatures. This role requires the ability to work in a cold prep area, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Work in a cold environment (prep area at 35°F).
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Push and pull up to 200 pounds.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to work efficiently.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor food standards to appropriate guidelines.
• Enforce kitchen safety and hygiene protocols, including masks, gloves, hairnets, hand-washing, equipment cleaning, and station sanitization.
• Verify that all food items placed in walk-in coolers are properly labeled and organized.
• Monitor and ensure all refrigerators and freezers maintain appropriate temperatures.
