Ocean Prime in Chicago is seeking a friendly and proactive FOOD RUNNER to join our team. You will support servers and hosts, ensuring guests experience exceptional hospitality and timely service in a fast-paced environment.

As part of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, you’ll uphold standards, assist with table maintenance, replenishing, and communicate guest needs clearly to team leaders. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth in a renowned dining group.

Summary: It is the responsibility of a food runner, to make raving fans of the five major groups of people we do business with by communicating with managers, servers, and hosts and assisting them in their duties. This requires competence in service procedures, a willingness to help associates, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Reports to work on time as indicated on the work schedule. Uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and cleaned. Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.
2. Exemplifies hospitality standards. Answers guests' questions about the restaurant. Handles requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority.
3. Cooperates with management and co-workers to assists others with duties, if needed. Communicates suggestions for improvement in a positive fashion.
4. Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the restaurant. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
5. Knows emergency procedures in the restaurants
6. Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures as stated in the associate handbook.
