Job summary

Milk and Honey in New Orleans-inspired brunch venue is looking for a friendly Food Runner to support our culinary team and deliver dishes with precision. This on-site role emphasizes speed, accuracy, and guest delight in a fast-paced environment.

You will shuttle orders between kitchen and dining room, assist servers, and help maintain a clean, organized space while learning the menu to answer customer questions and make recommendations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate in the primary language of the work.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to learn menu items and service procedures.
• Team-oriented and able to take direction.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Exude energy and enthusiasm as you deliver food orders to our guests, ensuring prompt and accurate service.
• Collaborate seamlessly with our kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth flow of food delivery and exceptional guest experience.
• Provide attentive and friendly service, going above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.
• Take pride in maintaining a clean and organized workstation and dining area.
• Be knowledgeable about our menu offerings and ingredients, able to answer guest inquiries and make recommendations.
• Act as a brand ambassador, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40–50 lbs (e.g., trays, dish racks, furniture)
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
• Manual dexterity to handle dishes, glassware, and cleaning tools safely
• Ability to work in a hot, wet, and noisy environment (kitchen and dining areas)
• Ability to navigate crowded spaces while carrying items safely
• Visual and auditory ability to identify spills, hazards, and guest needs
