Job summary

Soho House & Co. is seeking a Food Runner to support the kitchen and servers in delivering elevated dining experiences in a fast-paced, high-volume environment in Portland, Oregon.

You will provide outstanding guest service, explain menu items, and help ensure seamless service by coordinating with the team and keeping service areas organized. You will be expected to maintain professionalism, be hospitable, and adapt to flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, with OLCC certification and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable and passionate about customer service; respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Able to demonstrate competency as outlined in training and Club School.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• OLCC-certified and POS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follow Steps of Service, including refilling water and coffee, clearing dishes, crumb the table, replenishing supplies, and expediting orders.
• Accommodate guest requests or provide alternatives and advise management as needed.
• Thrive in high-volume, elevated service environments and support servers, Executive Chef and General Manager.
• Ensure orders are plated and coursed correctly before serving to members/guests.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and company procedures and applicable laws.
• Work as part of the team to serve food and drinks quickly; assist with items from expo and service bar as needed.
• Keep server alley and expo areas clean and stocked.
• Know the menu well to make guest recommendations.
