Job summary

Blackstone Country Club in Peoria, AZ, is seeking a part-time Food Runner to deliver meals promptly, assist servers, and maintain a clean, organized dining area. You will communicate with guests and staff, ensure orders are accurate, and support events as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a strong sense of urgency, and professional appearance. Food handler certification or the ability to obtain it is required by local regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to members and guests.
• Verify that each order is complete, properly prepared, and presented according to club standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Communicate menu items and answer basic questions regarding food preparation and ingredients when delivering meals.
• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables throughout service.
• Monitor dining areas to ensure members' needs are addressed promptly and communicate requests to the appropriate server.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining rooms, and expo areas.
• Assist with stocking supplies, condiments, table settings, and service equipment before and during service.
• Support banquet, golf tournament, wedding, and special event food service as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Assist with opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, culinary staff, and managers to provide seamless member service.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special club events.

This position is based in a professional private country club where teamwork, hospitality, and exceptional member service are essential. Food Runners are expected to maintain a polished appearance, communicate effectively with all team members, and contribute to a positive dining experience for every member and guest.
