Job summary

Tulsi Restaurant LLC is seeking a friendly Food Runner to join a busy Illinois kitchen. The role links the kitchen and wait staff, delivering meals, clearing tables, and assisting with front-of-house operations. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow in hospitality.

Evening and weekend availability is preferred, and candidates should be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds; prior serving or bussing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a busser, barback, food runner, or similar role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Availability to work evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers their meals and drinks in an efficient manner
• Communicate food orders to the kitchen staff
• Refill drinks
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces
• Remove tablecloths and reset tables
• Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations

We are seeking a Food Runner to join the team at our busy restaurant! As a Food Runner, you are the link between the kitchen and the wait staff. You will set and clear tables, deliver food, and generally act as the liaison between the front of house and back of the house.
