Job summary

Country Fresh Dairy in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a quality control associate to apply testing, sampling, and QA programs across the production process. You will test products at multiple stages, compile data, and verify conformity to standards with high accuracy and timely results.

Responsibilities include inspecting batch preparation, calibrating instruments, maintaining records, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred post-secondary study in food science or related fields.
• 1–3 years in food manufacturing, laboratory testing, QA or related work.
• Certification/licensing may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of batch preparation and QC activities to meet standards.
• Test incoming/outgoing products for suitability and compliance.
• Perform sample setup, sorting, preparation and cleanup.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as directed.
• Notify supervisor of out-of-range values and monitor quality trends.
• Maintain lab records and complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Prepare reports and maintain process control with statistical data.
• Participate in meetings and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Daily cleaning of work areas and CIP cleaning; wash lab glassware.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with GMP and safety rules.
