Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay is seeking a dependable Food Program Monitor to support our Community Food Programs. This part-time role will monitor meal-service sites and complete daily/weekly administrative tasks for program compliance.

The ideal candidate is organized, able to travel to multiple program locations, and comfortable communicating with site staff. This is a part-time, non-exempt position up to 15 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with data entry, recordkeeping, food service, or youth programs preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with staff and community partners.
  • Basic proficiency with email, Microsoft Excel, Word, and electronic data-entry systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and travel between sites.
  • Must meet organizational background-screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Visit assigned meal-service sites to observe operations and complete monitoring reviews.
  • Ensure meals are received, stored, and served per program requirements.
  • Review meal counts, delivery records, logs, and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to site staff for documentation/operational corrections.
  • Collect, organize, and review weekly site paperwork.
  • Enter meal counts and monitoring data accurately.
  • Follow up on missing or incorrect documentation.
  • Maintain organized program files (electronic and paper).
  • Assist with daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Deliver forms, posters, gloves, thermometers, and supplies to sites as needed.
  • Communicate concerns and corrective actions to the Community Food Program Coordinator.
  • Assist with meal service, staff training, events, and other duties.

DEPARTMENT: Food Department

SALARY/FLSA STATUS: Part-Time (Up to 15 hours/week)/ Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to support our Community Food Programs. This part-time position will be responsible for monitoring meal-service sites and completing the daily and weekly administrative tasks required for program compliance.

The ideal candidate will be organized, comfortable working independently, able to travel to multiple program locations, and confident communicating with site staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit assigned after-school and summer meal-service sites to observe program operations and complete required monitoring reviews.
  • Ensure meals are received, stored, and served in accordance with program requirements.
  • Review meal counts, delivery records, temperature logs, attendance records, menus, and other required documentation.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to site staff when documentation or operational corrections are needed.
  • Collect, organize, and review weekly paperwork from assigned sites.
  • Enter meal counts, monitoring information, and other program data accurately and promptly.
  • Follow up with sites regarding missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper program files.
  • Assist with preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Deliver program forms, posters, gloves, thermometers, and other supplies to sites as needed.
  • Communicate site concerns, deficiencies, and corrective-action needs to the Community Food Program Coordinator.
  • Assist with meal service, staff training, special events, and other food-program duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience with data entry, recordkeeping, food service, or youth programs is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with staff and community partners.
  • Basic proficiency with email, Microsoft Excel, Word, and electronic data-entry systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel between assigned program sites.
  • Must be able to meet all organizational background-screening requirements.

TRAVEL:

Travel may be required to multiple Club facilities within Pinellas County.
