Job summary

MiLa is seeking a Food Production Technician in Sumner, WA to support multiple areas of production in our plant. You will prepare ingredients, sanitize gear to USDA standards, and operate machinery for dumplings and other items.

Ideal candidates have experience in large-scale food prep, are reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced setting that values attention to detail and adherence to procedures. Shifts include weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be punctual, polite and professional; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for dumpling and other products.
• Sanitize and organize tools and equipment per USDA standards.
• Follow MiLa SOPs for food safety and quality.
• Operate machinery to prepare soup dumplings and other items.
• Collaborate with team during production and prep as needed.
• May include weekends/evenings/holidays based on business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Under the close supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Food Production Technician is responsible for taking on various tasks to help support different areas of food production in the production and manufacturing plant.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients to be used in dumpling and food production
• Proper sanitization and organization of tools and equipment to USDA standards
• Adherence to MiLa’s standard operating procedures, regarding food safety and quality assurance
• Operate machinery to prepare soup dumpling and other food items
• Working as a team during production, and independently during prep work.
• Varying schedule may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and other hours as business requires.
• Other duties as assigned

• Experienced in large-scale food preparation and have the associated culinary and organizational skills.
• Ready to Learn.
• Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment that will require strong adherence to procedure AND attention to detail.
• Punctual, polite and professional.
• Capable of working independently and taking ownership in one’s work.
• Able to follow instruction, and finish tasks to completion.

Education & Experience

• Working in previous food production is a plus
• Must be 18+ years old

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Working at MiLa is a physically demanding job - team members will need to be on their feet throughout their shifts and will need to be able to walk, bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push and pull. This position is frequently required to handle, move, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs with accommodation.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40+ hours per week
• Shifts: Monday through Thursday: 2:30pm to 1:00am (Friday overtime, as needed)
• Overtime and weekends as assigned

Compensation

• Starting at $19/hr
