Job summary

King’s Hawaiian Bakery is seeking a Production Helper to support daily operations in our facility. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork as you assist with production, material handling, labeling, and equipment checks.

You will follow 5S standards, help ensure product specifications are met, and support sanitation and quality assurance under supervision. A proactive mindset and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret English safety and procedure documents.
• Ability to write routine quality reports in English.
• Basic math for measurements and counts.

Responsibilities

• Observe conveyors and production machine operation to prevent jams; clear jams while following safety procedures.
• Remove filled cases from the discharge end of machines, placing them on pallets and conveyors.
• Inspect product for damage or conformity to specifications and escalate as needed.
• Assist in sealing, labeling, and printing containers.
• Monitor consumable levels (packages, boxes, labels) and replace as needed; ensure information on packages is printed correctly.
• Move materials or other items between machines or departments as required.
• Open and load bags or boxes of ingredients into mixers, hoppers, or feeders as required.
• Start or stop conveyors by operating control panel buttons.
• Stack and organize production materials to prevent downtime.
• Monitor ingredient levels and refill as required.
• Maintain log sheets as required for Quality Assurance.
• Report equipment problems to a supervisor and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain work area and tools in accordance with 5S standards.
• Assist in training new employees or employees changing job classifications.
• Perform sanitation duties on machinery according to the cleaning schedule; maintain high levels of sanitation and GMPs.
• Promote safety in the work area by following safety procedures and reporting accidents promptly.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of this role.
