Sodexo Government Services is hiring a Food Production Manager 3 for the USMC site in San Diego, CA. You will lead high-volume operations serving 15,000–18,000 meals daily across five dining stations and manage a team of about 40 staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

You will oversee procurement, standardize culinary systems, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvements in menu planning and service delivery in a fast-paced government environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2 years management experience; 1 year related experience required.
• Experience in high-volume production environments a plus.
• Strong inventory, purchasing, and cost-control skills.

You’ll play a hands-on role in managing procurement, standardizing culinary systems, mentoring staff, and contributing to client satisfaction through collaborative menu development and service excellence.Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization.
