Job summary

Wise Staffing Group is seeking a Food Production Associate I to handle ingredients for wholesome, high-quality products. The role requires following GMPs, safe chemical handling, accurate portioning with scales, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

You will work in a wet environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and cooperate with team members. Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays is expected, with strong attention to detail and good communication.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read recipes and do basic math.
• Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally including overhead.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
• Identify known allergenic reactions at point of hire.
• Exhibit an open-minded approach and a willingness to learn new areas of the business.

Responsibilities

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Follow all required work safe practices, including use of PPE in designated areas, safe chemical handling, etc.
• Portion ingredients exactly as specified in the recipe using scales and basic math.
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area, including utensils and equipment.
• Report any at-risk safety, health and environmental concerns to management immediately.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Assist in line changeovers in a safe, quality conscious and efficient manner.
• Maintain communication with members of your department and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may impact production efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
