Job summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a Processor in Chambersburg, PA for an onsite hourly role. The position focuses on efficiently mixing finished products, following formulas, and maintaining high quality standards in a manufacturing setting.

H.S. Diploma or equivalent manufacturing experience is required. You will operate the Local Control Panel and scales, document batch records, and collaborate with QC. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent food manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and SOPs.
• Math skills to verify ingredient quantities accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product according to established formulas, monitoring production needs to keep filling areas supplied with finished product.
• Control additions using Local Control Panel (LCP) and scales; transfer batches to production lines or portable equipment.
• Supply product samples to Quality Control (QC) for testing and approval for packing.
• Document adjustments and keep batch records, including lot numbers and re-work on batch sheets.
• Perform deck setup for daily schedule and operate equipment to assist processing formulas.
• Maintain clean and sanitized processing equipment and follow good housekeeping standards.
• Work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed; follow all food safety policies (SQF, GMPs, FSMA).
• Other duties as assigned.
