A leading food processing equipment company in the Northwest Minneapolis area is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its technical applications team.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment, with opportunities to work on testing, product development, and process optimization. Candidates should have 3+ years in maintenance and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment layouts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Associate degree in Maintenance Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and support equipment reliability.
• Assist with equipment setup and changeovers.
• Support customer trials and product testing activities.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment and automated processing systems.
• Follow established SOPs and ensure equipment is properly configured for testing and operational activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and process performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and technical teams.
