CentraCare is seeking a Food Prep Associate to support Nutrition Services in a hospital setting. You will assist chefs, prepare ingredients, and help deliver nutritious meals to patients, visitors, and staff.
This full-time role features day shifts, a 72-hour schedule every two weeks, and opportunities to advance with ServSafe certification.
Compensation starts at $20.31 per hour with a full benefits package including medical, dental, PTO, retirement, and employee discounts.
Join CentraCare's Nutrition Services team and play an important role in supporting the health and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff. As a Food Prep Associate, you will help prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience. This position works closely with chefs and kitchen staff to prepare menu items, maintain food safety standards, and support daily kitchen operations.

Full Time | 72 Hours Every Two Weeks
Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts
Typical shifts: 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and/or 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
You must be available for either shift as they will blend on the schedule.
Every Other weekend
Rotating holidays
Starting pay begins at $20.31 per hour and increases with experience
Full Pay range: $17.71 - $27.07 per hour

Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and meal service.
Prepare ingredients and menu items according to recipes and production standards.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and workspaces.
Follow established food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
Support patient safety initiatives and Family Centered Care principles.
Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining kitchen supplies.
Perform other kitchen and nutrition services duties as assigned.
Our Nutrition Services team prepares, serves, and delivers delicious meals and snacks to patients, visitors, and staff throughout CentraCare. Team members work together to create a positive dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
ServSafe Food Safety Certification within six months of hire.
One year of institutional, hospital, restaurant, or food service experience is preferred.
