Job summary

Shearer's Foods is seeking a Food Production Sanitation Technician in Ohio. Hours vary mid-day to afternoon shifts, with days off during the week.

Earn $21.32 per hour plus a $1 shift differential, and help keep the plant clean under GMP and Food Safety standards. The role includes cleaning manufacturing areas, equipment, and offices as needed; training to operate forklift and scissor lift; and maintaining sanitation logs and grounds upkeep.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in industrial cleaning with power-washing equipment and chemical cleaning is a plus.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with high temps, fumes, moving parts, loud noise, allergens, heights, and hot surfaces.
• Knowledge of counting and basic math.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities consistent with essential duties.
• Ability to read and comprehend written material.
• Ability to listen to and understand information presented orally.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation Technician responsible for production and non-production areas as per MSS.
• Maintain cleanliness to prevent product contamination and follow GMP and Food Safety.
• Clean all manufacturing equipment using chemicals and power washers; log sanitation activities.
• May operate forklift and scissor lift after training; perform floor-to-ceiling cleaning.
