Job summary

Latitude 36 Foods is seeking a USDA/FDA Sanitation Supervisor to lead sanitation efforts across the plant, ensuring high quality and safe production. The role focuses on planning, implementing, and improving sanitation procedures in collaboration with USDA Food Safety standards and Quality Assurance.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, familiarity with HACCP/SQF, and the ability to train staff while maintaining strict safety protocols in a cold manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of related experience in food manufacturing or industrial sanitation.
• B.S. or B.A. in Food Science preferred.
• USDA, FDA, and OSHA experience preferred.
• HACCP and SQF certifications preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage sanitation schedules and employee schedules to ensure cleaning and disinfection.
• Ensure safety of employees in operation of equipment and GMP compliance.
• Train staff on sanitation best practices and PPE usage.
• Develop SOPs aligned with USDA/FDA standards.
• Conduct regular inspections for sanitation compliance and recordkeeping.
• Lead corrective actions on food safety and quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement to minimize downtime and maximize yield.
• Direct cleaning of equipment and work areas; inspect for unsanitary conditions.
