Roskam Foods in Kentwood, MI is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our warehouse team. You will move materials using forklifts and other lifting devices, inspect loads for accuracy, and help ensure timely production support.

You will also weigh and document production data, follow FIFO, and stage materials to keep lines stocked. The role requires reliable, safety-conscious performance in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Experience operating lifting devices such as forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to inspect loads for accuracy and move them safely within a warehouse.
• Knowledge of FIFO and basic production data recording.

Responsabilidades

• Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices to load, unload, and transport materials.
• Inspect product loads for accuracy and move them around the warehouse for timely delivery.
• Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, or other transport vehicles.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around pallets and secure materials for transport to designated areas.
• Weigh materials or products and record weight or production data on tags or labels.
• Follow FIFO to ensure correct material sequencing.
• Forecast needs of the line and stage materials to maintain production flow.
• Inspect equipment or material for defects and report issues through proper channels.
