Conagra Brands seeks a Principal Food Labeling Specialist to ensure United States labeling compliance across a diverse product portfolio. You will guide cross-functional teams, review artwork, and maintain label content from development through launch.
The role requires deep knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations, 3+ years in labeling, and a proven ability to manage multiple labeling projects with accuracy and efficiency.
Reporting to the Principal Food Labeling Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert for United States food labeling requirements. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product labels and packaging comply with regulatory requirements while supporting business objectives and speed to market. You will independently manage labeling reviews, provide regulatory guidance, and support product commercialization activities across a diverse portfolio while helping deliver accurate, compliant labels to market.

Developandmaintainmandatorylabelcontent,includingingredientstatements,allergendeclarations,nutritionfactspanels,claims,netweightstatements,andproductnaming.
Evaluatelabelingclaimsandmarketinglanguage,providingcompliantandpracticalsolutionsthatsupportbrandobjectives.
Research,interpret,andcommunicatecurrentandemerginglabelingregulationsandindustrytrends.
Supportnewproductlaunches,renovations,andpackagingchangesbyprovidingtimelylabelingguidancethroughoutthedevelopmentprocess.
ObtainUnitedStatesDepartmentofAgricultureFoodSafetyandInspectionServicelabelapprovals,temporaryapprovals,andextensionsasneeded.
Collaboratewithinternalstakeholderstoimprovelabelingprocesses,accuracy,andefficiency.
Respondtolabelingandregulatoryinquirieswhilehelpingidentifycompliantsolutionstocomplexissues.
Managemultipleprojectsindependentlywhilebalancingcompetingprioritiesanddeadlines.
Bachelor'sdegreeinFoodScience,Nutrition,RegulatoryAffairs,orarelatedfield,orequivalentprofessionalexperience.
3+yearsoffoodindustryexperienceinfoodlabeling,regulatoryaffairs,orarelateddiscipline.
StrongknowledgeofFoodandDrugAdministrationand/orUnitedStatesDepartmentofAgricultureFoodSafetyandInspectionServicelabelingregulations.
Experiencereviewingfoodpackaging,artwork,andproductclaimsforregulatorycompliance.
Understandingoffoodproductdevelopment,manufacturingprocesses,foodsafety,allergens,andingredientregulations.
Experienceworkingeffectivelywithcross-functionalteamstodrivecompliantbusinessoutcomes.
Stronganalytical,problem-solving,andcommunicationskills.
Experiencesupportingavarietyoffoodcategoriesandproductformatspreferred.
Demonstratedsuccessworkingindependentlyandexercisingsoundregulatoryjudgment.
This role is a hybrid office-based position and does not require regular visits to manufacturing facilities.

Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
