Job summary

Peace River Citrus Products, Inc. in Bartow, FL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - Food Grade to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment in a food-safe environment.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement while upholding GMP, FDA, and USDA safety standards. The role requires mechanical troubleshooting, blueprints literacy, and the ability to work overtime or extended shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in technical field; industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment in industrial/food production.
• PLC-controlled equipment experience preferred.
• SAP or CMMS experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions using tests, schematics, manuals, and operator feedback.
• Install, align, adjust, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
• Inspect machinery for wear and repair or replace components as needed.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Document maintenance activities and parts usage in CMMS/EMaint.
• Support machine changeovers and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow schedules and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Operate safely per LOTO, confined space, Arc Flash, OSHA rules.
• Maintain clean work area; comply with GMP, FDA, USDA standards.
• Be available for overtime, weekends, extended shifts as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
