Job summary

Huntley Community School District #158 is seeking a Technician 2 - Operations and Maintenance to maintain and repair district food service equipment and support building operations in Algonquin, IL.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent (or 5 years' experience), an Illinois driver’s license, and EPA Universal Type 608 refrigeration certification; candidates should have preventive maintenance knowledge and a trades background.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or five years related experience and/or training.
• Illinois driver’s license required.
• Active Universal Type 608 Refrigeration Certification (EPA) required.
• Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and food service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair cold and hot food service equipment (coolers, freezers, warmers, ovens).
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate fixes.
• Participate in the District’s Preventative Maintenance program.
• Respond to emergency repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with building leadership and maintain strong communication with leadership.
