Job summary

Walmart is hiring Food and Consumable associates in a part-time role across our grocery departments. The position involves moving merchandise to the salesfloor, creating seasonal displays, and ensuring fresh, high-quality products for customers.

You will interact with customers in deli, bakery, and grocery areas, assist with cake orders, stocking displays, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards. A friendly, helpful attitude is essential to deliver a great shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Move incoming merchandise out to the salesfloor and create seasonal display features.
• Make decisions about the quality of fruit and vegetables for customers.
• Be on the frontlines of customer service in deli, bakery, and grocery areas.
• Help customers celebrate special moments in the bakery and assist with cake orders.
• Ensure produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat and other departments are clean, stocked, and properly rotated.

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Help customers find the products they are looking for
• Ensure high quality products are available in produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat, and other departments
• Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
• Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food
• Assist customers in ordering cakes, fulfilling deli orders, or finding the right produce
