Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks a Food Clerk to deliver a welcoming shopping experience in our Fresh departments. You will build positive connections with customers and teammates while sharing product knowledge and helping customers find what they need.

You will maintain appealing displays, stock and rotate products, and use store technology to complete tasks accurately. You’ll follow food safety procedures and support multiple departments to keep the store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-first mindset and strong communication.
• Ability to learn and use store technology (POS, handhelds).
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
