Job summary

SGS is seeking a skilled chemist to handle samples, perform analyses per SOPs, maintain and verify equipment, and report deficiencies to supervisors. The role involves conducting analyses using HPLC and keeping accurate records of quality activities.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field, 3+ years of laboratory experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and a LIMS system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field or commercial laboratory experience.
• Experience with using HPLC instrument.
• 3+ years of prior laboratory experience in related work.
• Computer skills: Basic use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite; experience with LIMS system.

Responsibilities

• Handles samples and performs analyses according to Operating Procedures and test methodology.
• Maintains and verifies equipment.
• Reports deficiencies or malfunction to the supervisor.
• Maintains records of all quality activities as documented in Operating Procedures and test methods.
• Identifies and records nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests.
• Regularly operates laboratory equipment such as HPLC.
