Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, PA is seeking a punctual, detail-oriented leader to head our Food and Beverage team in a fast-paced environment.

You will recruit, train, and develop staff, review schedules, ensure guest satisfaction, uphold health and safety standards, and create opportunities to increase revenue while controlling costs. A strong communicator with team-building skills is essential.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.

• Assist in developing and updating SOPs and staff training.
• Create training guidelines for servers and bartenders.
• Maintain clean and orderly front of the house areas.
• Maintain inventory of paper, chemical, and food products.
• Maintain records of tip-outs and end-of-shift reporting.
• Identify ideas to increase revenue while controlling costs.
• Have flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and creating a warm and engaging atmosphere.
• Review scheduling and labor needs to exceed guest expectations while maximizing efficiency for forecasted business.
• Coordinate staff assignments by procedures and schedule including assigning stations, side work, and cleaning of equipment and storage areas.
• Assist in the development and updating of standard operating procedures and training for staff to improve the quality of service.
• Create training guidelines for servers & bartenders for menu knowledge and upsell opportunities.
• Maintain clean and orderly front of the house areas and storage areas.
• Maintain proper inventory of respective paper, chemical and food products.
• Maintain accurate records of tip-outs, credit card tips, and end-of-shift reporting.
• Create new ideas and ways of increasing revenue while controlling costs.
• Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
