GENERAL SUMMARY

The Food Runner’s purpose is to deliver all Food to Guests in a quick professional manner. A detail-oriented and efficient Food Runner is responsible for ensuring all food orders are accurately prepared and presented according to outlet specifications. Skilled in coordinating timing between kitchen preparation and front-end operations to maintain seamless service, especially during high-volume periods. Committed to supporting coworkers and contributing to team goals while adhering to all outlet policies and procedures. Dedicated to continuously improving service standards and operational efficiency to enhance the overall guest experience.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT

All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of food orders between kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery.

• Communicate effectively with chefs and servers to prioritize and expedite orders, especially during peak service periods.
• Monitor ticket queues, manage pacing of food delivery based on dining room volume and guest needs, and relay special requests or modifications to the kitchen.
• Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and accuracy under pressure to uphold service standards and quest delays.
• Maintain a clean, organized expediter station in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform side work such as restocking supplies, cleaning service areas, and organizing dishware.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or unsafe working conditions immediately to management.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, promoting a professional and collaborative team environment.
• Serve as a positive ambassador of the restaurant and property, speaking knowledgeably and enthusiastically about menu offerings, promotions, and the overall dining experience; maintain a friendly and professional demeanor in all guest interactions to uphold the brand image.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient and seamless restaurant operations.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent is responsible for protecting the assets of Pechanga Resort Casino and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED required; Six months of experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

This position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to write simple correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position requires the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

This position requires the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. This position also requires the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
