Love’s Travel Stops is seeking a Food Assistant Manager to help lead our restaurant and fresh kitchens. You will guide staff to deliver great service, manage operations, and drive sales while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer satisfaction, and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with opportunities for growth and development at a national retailer.

Qualifications

• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• 1+ years managing operations with annual sales volume over $1M.
• 1+ years supervising 5–10+ employees.
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Ensure safe, clean facility and adherence to food safety procedures.
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory and food prep.
• Assist General Manager with task execution, safety, reporting and cash integrity.
• Train team to prepare and package orders to meet service expectations.
• Analyze profit and loss statements and drive opportunities for change.
• Collaborate with General Manager on talent acquisition.

Food Assistant Managers play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant and fresh kitchens. You will assist in leading staff to provide exceptional customer service, managing processes, and executing strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Job Functions

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through facilities and equipment maintenance along with adherence to proper food safety procedures.
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation.
• Assist the General Manager with proper task execution and completion, follow effective safety practices, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Work with and train the team to prepare and package customer orders in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations and results.
• Understand financial reporting to include analyzing profit and loss statements and affecting change to capture and capitalize on opportunities.
• Collaborate with General Manager in the efforts of talent acquisition.

Experience

• Ability to work various shift times to include days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• 1+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $1+million.
• 1+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 1+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

• Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.
