Job summary

The Lodge at Spruce Peak, part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, seeks a Banquet Manager during the busy summer season. You will assist the Director of Banquets in overseeing a team and coordinating with Banquet Captains to deliver exceptional events, guest experiences, and seamless service.

Responsibilities include staffing, event coordination, payroll oversight, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards across functions. Flexibility to work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree plus 1 year of management experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of prior management experience in F&B/events preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills necessary.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop line staff to ensure luxe guest service.
• Oversee banquet events and supervise banquet captains and staff.
• Manage schedules and payroll for team members.
• Lead team communications and task prioritization.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of events while maintaining safety.
• Monitor guest experiences and address issues in real time.
• Coordinate with the Director of Banquets to meet objectives.

During the busy summer events season, this manager will act as a Banquet Manager. You will assist the Director of Banquets in overseeing a team of talented individuals and will be responsible for managing and working with the Banquet Captains in supervising Banquet events, colleagues, and the overall department. This position will administrate staff, coordinate banquet events, and implements strategies to achieve The Lodge at Spruce Peak’s objectives.

Pay Range: $65,000-$70,000 a year based on experience.

Essential Functions:

• Training & Development of line level Colleagues to ensure seamless & luxurious guest service.


• Demonstrates a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, consistently going above and beyond to meet guest expectations, resolve issues, and create memorable experiences.


• Manages schedules and payroll for employees.


• Lead & Communicate information to the service team giving them the knowledge to be individually empowered.


• Supervise and Assist in the set up and breakdown of events, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards.


• Supervise the performance, attendance, attitude, appearance and conduct of service team and coaching in the moment to colleagues for both celebration and opportunities.


• Monitoring and responding to customer experience opportunities in real time and seeking out feedback from guest’s post-stay to identify opportunities for improvement


• Lead the team to identify and prioritize tasks as needed.


• Other duties as necessary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.


• Relevant college degree and one year of management experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.


• 1-2 years ofpriorManagement experience, required. F&B and Events/Banquets related experience preferred.


• Leadership and Communication skills.


• Flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the ability to effectively utilize POS systems, reporting platforms, and other business technology tool.


• Must have or obtain a valid DLC certificate


• Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day


• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 lbs.
