Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking a hands-on restaurant/operations leader to oversee on-mountain dining for year-round service. The role focuses on maintaining standards of quality, safety and profitability while guiding managers and staff through recruitment, training and daily supervision.

You will help plan menus, manage events, monitor labor and COGS, and ensure guest satisfaction across outlets. Strong leadership and coaching skills are essential for success in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant or business supervisory/management experience.
  • Ability to lead, train staff and manage daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership by setting standards of quality, service, safety, and profit.
  • Develops goals, policies and objectives; oversees operations under their direction.
  • Assists in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of management and staff.
  • Handles payroll, scheduling, performance reviews, coaching and discipline.
  • Oversees managers and employees; participates in meetings as required.
  • Conducts training seminars on topics like tips and food handling.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction through menu planning, pricing and event coordination.
  • Monitors labor costs and cost of goods sold; contributes to budgets.
  • Contributes to team effort by achieving related results as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and direction by:
    • Managing standards of quality, service, safety, and profit
    • Developing and implementing goals, policies, and objectives Overseeing all aspects of the operations under his/her direction
    • Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of management and staff
    • Carrying out all administrative functions pertaining to hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, coaching, counseling and discipline
    • Overseeing managers, supervisors and employees under their direction Attending all meetings as required
    • Conducting training seminars (Tips, food handling, etc.)
  • Ensures guest satisfaction by:
    • Assisting in the menu planning, analysis, and pricing
    • Coordinating additional staff needs for special events and conference center business
    • Inspecting outlet(s) and employees to ensure compliance with health, safety and state regulations Addressing guest feedback concerning outlets(s) service, presentation, quality of product and overall experience
    • Creating and implementing promotions, animation and special events for the outlet(s)
  • Maintains profitability by:
    • Monitoring labor costs, cost of goods sold, and other costs. Contributing to the annual budget process and business plan
  • Contributes to team effort by:
    • Accomplishing related results as needed
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience
  • 5 years of restaurant/business supervisory or management
