Available Hours:1st & 2nd shift Pay is competitive and based on experience

Job Description

A Bindery Folder Operator makes ready and uses folding equipment to fold, slit, and score sheets of paper. They aid in the production of brochures, catalogs, books, mailers, etc. to written specifications following standard operating procedures and customer requirements. They perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.

Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Verify information on job ticket and staged materials (paper stock, cartons, etc.). Ensure that requirements are correct before initiating make ready.
• Adjust guides to size of folded signatures or flat sheets.
• Get pre-production ok from supervisor and do continuity pulls throughout run.
• Feed product on Folder and monitor Helpers performing feeding and off loading operations.
• Complete paperwork related to job function (counter readings, signing job tickets, load tags.
• Troubleshoot problems to maintain quality standards and performs regular maintenance.

Job Requirements

• Use hand tools or machines needed to perform operations appropriately and safely.
• Read e-job tickets, job information, diagrams or drawings of items to be produced.
• Work on materials or objects with great precision and accuracy.
