Job summary

INDEPENDENT PRINTING & PACKAGING is seeking a Folder Gluer Operator to join the machine finishing team. The role covers setup, operation, and monitoring of folder/gluer systems to meet quality and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate has prior experience with folder gluers, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and dependable with the ability to learn new tasks quickly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Previous machine operation experience, including setup and quality control.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to cross-train on additional equipment.
• Experience with Signature/Moll folder gluers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-ready, setup, adjustments, and operation of fold and glue equipment to meet production schedules.
• Review job tickets and work instructions for quantities and specifications.
• Monitor equipment and finished products to ensure quality and customer specifications.
• Make adjustments to maintain product quality and production rates.
• Inspect finished products and identify/correct issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime and waste.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety policies and production standards.
• Communicate issues to supervisors or appropriate personnel.
