Job summary

Common Bond Bistro & Bakery in Houston seeks a Front-of-House Supervisor to lead daily guest service, working closely with the General Manager to uphold hospitality standards. You will motivate team members, resolve issues quickly, and ensure a superior guest experience across all shifts.

The role emphasizes fast-paced operation, problem-solving, and commitment to high quality, including food safety and cleanliness throughout the FOH.

Qualifications

Ability to learn quickly.
A food handler’s and TABC certification where required by local and state health code regulations.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to build and maintain relationships.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Greet customers with a smile and engage with guests, identifying and responding to needs.
Maintain knowledge of baked goods and the menu.
Supervise front-of-house while upholding hospitality standards.
Address guest complaints professionally and recover with service.
Inform the General Manager of shortages before items run out.
Enforce sanitary practices and cleanliness per laws and standards.
Ensure consistent high-quality service.
Maintain professional restaurant image and appearance standards.
Develop staff with feedback and performance expectations.
Take orders and package items accurately and efficiently.
Run food and drinks to tables promptly.
Rotate stock using FIFO methods.
