Job summary

Hörmann is seeking a Production worker in Washington for a full-time, non-exempt role on the 2nd shift. You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and support foam assembly including backpan installation and upcoming runs.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent, and production experience is preferred. You will work in a non-climate controlled plant, with safety gear provided and a focus on quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Down stacks and assembles seal/endcaps onto sections using hand and power tools.
• Obtain work orders and production schedule and assemble foam accordingly.
• Install foam onto backpan.
• Pull and prepare foam for current and following production runs.
• Coordinate with Foam production and pit operator for remakes.
• Perform quality assurance inspection.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Meet production goals with a steady pace.

Pay or shift range: $19.50 USD to $23.52 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Position: Non-Exempt

Summary Description

Down stacks and assembles seal/endcaps onto sections using hand and power tools. May be required to perform functions of other jobs within the department.

Obtain work orders and production schedule and assemble foam accordingly

• Install foam onto backpan
• Pull and prepare foam for current and following production runs
• Coordinate with Foam production and pit operator for any remakes
• Perform quality assurance inspection
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Maintain a steady pace of installation to meet production goals

Essential Job Skills and Experience

Education/experience: Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Production experience preferred

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and more than 50 lbs using a team-lift
• Able to stand for extended periods of time (10-12 hour days)
• Good hand-eye coordination

Physical Environment/Working Conditions:

This position involves standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires grasping and fine finger manipulation on both hands. The position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. It requires grasping and fine manipulation on both hands. The plant is not climate controlled. Noise levels can become high. NWD provides and requires hearing protection in the department. The work is done in an area where moving mechanical machinery, parts or vibration are located.

Specific vision requirements:

This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision s. and the ability to adjust focus.
