HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Palm Beach County is seeking a Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Assistant PRN to support the patient meal program. You will prepare foods, ensure proper portions, label and store items, and uphold strict food handling standards in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include setting up and restocking, coordinating with daily menus, minimizing waste, and reporting shortages. High school diploma or GED required; kitchen experience is a plus.

• Always prepare and portion foods following established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets.
• Consistently cover, label, and date foods and store them properly according to procedures.
• Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, hair covering, no eating on the job, etc.).
• Always prepare and set up food and supplies in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements; restock as needed.
• Always check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day.
• Help to reduce cost by minimizing waste and over production.
• Act in a cost conscious manner by utilizing leftovers appropriately.
• Promptly report food shortages, outdated items or any products received in an unacceptable condition.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a FNS Assistant to join our Food Services team. You would perform a variety of food services for the patients. You would also perform cleaning and dish room duties as well as other related cleaning tasks. You would join a team that cares like family and always works in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

• Prepare various foods and beverages for patients.
