Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive primary care at our employer-sponsored health center in Arcadia, FL. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend shifts, emphasizing patient-centered care and longer patient encounters.

As an FNP at Proactive MD, you will work with an onsite clinical team to deliver preventive and chronic care, educate patients, and support meaningful health outcomes in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) and FNP certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family practice or primary care.
• Current RN license and NP license in state of practice.
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC.
• Prescriptive authority under state and federal laws.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR); athenahealth is used at Proactive MD.
• Strong computer skills with standard software.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to adults and children in an employer-sponsored health center.
• Perform preventive, acute, and chronic care visits.
• Conduct physical examinations and health histories.
• Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patients.
• Provide health education and wellness counseling.
• Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications within regulatory scope.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA and clinical quality standards.
• Collaborate with onsite clinical team for coordinated care.
