Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking new graduates for the Early Career Pathways program, with placements across our engineering teams from propulsion to systems. Direct Hire and New Graduate Rotation Program offer hands-on experience and mentorship while aligning with business needs.

Locations include Kent, WA; Huntsville, AL; Van Horn, TX; Cape Canaveral, FL; Lancaster, CA. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis; Fall 2027 start is expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or other relevant engineering field.
  • Will have earned their degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 2027.
  • Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
  • Relevant internship/co‑op and/or hands‑on experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset.
  • Self‑driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.

Early Career Pathways
  • Direct Hire: Multiple positions available across our Business Units. You will be matched with an appropriate engineering team based on your skillset and experience and our current business needs.
  • New Graduate Rotation Program: This one-year development program enables you to expand your engineering skillset through a variety of hands‑on experience and mentorship. Throughout your three four‑month rotations, you'll explore a variety of fields supporting our business units: New Glenn, Blue Engines, Lunar Permanence, Blue National Security, Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering, and Operations. Upon completing this uniquely personalized program, you'll collaborate with the Program Manager to determine the best team fit for your ongoing career.

Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • 3D CAD Programs.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Low‑pressure fluid systems (fans, ducting, heat exchangers, capillary pumps, etc.), valves, manifolds, fittings, tubing, seals, or other fluid systems.
  • Thermodynamics, fluid flow, or heat transfer analysis.
  • Safety assessment and operation of pressurized test hardware.
  • Machining, building, and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems.
Base Pay Range

CO applicants is $74,537.00 - $104,351.10 WA applicants is $81,313.00 - $113,837.85
