Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking early-career engineers for multiple openings across our business units in locations including Kent, WA; Huntsville, AL; Van Horn, TX; Cape Canaveral, FL; and Lancaster, CA. You will contribute to applied fluid/mechanical engineering, propulsion systems, and hardware integration on fast paced development programs.

Required are a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering (recent grads), strong propulsion and thermodynamics fundamentals, plus internship/co-op experience.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering; recent graduates acceptable.
  • Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
  • Relevant internship or co-op demonstrating hands-on technical leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team on rapid development programs.
  • Desirable MS degree and experience in GD&T, CAD, and FEA.

The projects will include the integration of materials and processes, manufacturing, systems test, operations, and systems engineering. Specific duties are subject to our business unit objectives.Qualifications:Minimum of a BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or other relevant engineering field.Will have earned their degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 2026.Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.Relevant internship/co-op and/or hands-on experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.Flexible and adaptable mindset.Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.Desired:M.S. degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering or other relevant engineering field.Experience in one or more of the following areas:GD&T (ASME Y14.5).3D CAD Programs.Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Low-pressure fluid systems (fans, ducting, heat exchangers, capillary pumps, etc.), valves, manifolds, fittings, tubing, seals, or other fluid systems.Thermodynamics, fluid flow, or heat transfer analysis.Safety assessment and operation of pressurized test hardware.Machining, building, and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems.How to prepare:We are solving challenging, new problems and we need people to represent a wide variety of perspectives.
