Job summary

General Matter in Los Angeles is seeking a Fluid Systems Engineer to design, analyze, and deploy fluid systems for our uranium enrichment facility. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the systems designed meet both performance and manufacturability requirements.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and have over four years of experience in fluid system design. The base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $175,000 annually, depending on experience and market alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant engineering fields.
  • 4+ years of experience in Fluid System design or hardware development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system-level sizing and performance analysis for fluid systems.
  • Translate requirements into hardware concepts and evaluate designs.
  • Design pressurized and unpressurized components and assemblies.
  • Conduct structural and mechanical analysis for survivability.
  • Drive design-for-manufacturability improvements.
  • Lead first-article builds with manufacturing teams.
  • Plan and execute development and testing for hardware.
  • Define operations concepts for systems.
  • Participate in design reviews.
