Job summary

Wright Industries, LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking a Fluid Power Technician to assemble, install and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems for custom automation equipment. You will work from schematics and customer specs, ensuring quality, safety and on-time delivery with up to 25% travel.

The role requires a high school diploma and 4 years of fluid power experience, with Journeyman’s card preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of fluid power experience.
• Equivalent experience is calculated as two years of relevant work for each year of academic study.
• Related vocational education preferred.
• Journeyman’s card preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel navigation.
• Proficiency in schematic interpretation, pipe threading, fitting identification, and fluid power symbols.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a safety‑and‑quality‑focused mindset.
• Travel required up to 25% including overnight and international.

Responsibilities

• Assemble equipment according to approved design and customer specifications.
• Ensure that changes and problems get documented and communicated.
• Carry out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision.
• Assist with the execution of ISO/Quality Standards.
• Communicate with the project team on open issues and progress during the building process.
• Assist with the successful execution of assigned programs as they relate to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
• Effectively and safely: troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Install piping and hoses.
• Read blueprints, identify fittings, and have basic symbol knowledge.

• Related vocational education preferred.
• Journeyman’s card preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel navigation.
• Proficiency in schematic interpretation, pipe threading, fitting identification, and fluid power symbols.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a safety‑and-quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to maintain a steady work pace, including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and maneuvering around machinery.
• Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry, is strongly preferred.
• Travel required up to 25% including overnight and international.
