Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Flow Inventory Associate in Madison, TN to maintain vehicle inventory and support the customer experience. You will handle receiving, shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and photo uploads to ensure CarMax quality standards are met.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and certification in Inventory Associate workflows are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for inventory records.
• Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and trainings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors or outdoors.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory following CarMax processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising; keep display areas clean and organized.
• Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners; wash and vacuum as needed.
• Execute photo station process for CarMax.com listings.
• Drive vehicles on/off lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep a clean, orderly work area.

Role Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records.
• Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

The Hourly Rate For This Position Is

$19.43 - $27.09

Benefits

Except as otherwise required by state law, those considered part-time are eligible for sick time only in states that mandate it and amounts are accrued on a per pay period basis and range from 24 hours to unlimited based on state rules. In Washington, part-time Associates receive sick leave consistent with state law. Part-time Associates are also eligible for between 8 hours and 40 hours per year of vacation based on their length of service and subject to a 1 year waiting period. Part-time Associates are also eligible for 4 hours of Floating Holiday Time each calendar year subject to manager approval.
